Finished results, start to end.
- Record a product demo Record a product demo video on your Mac, from a tidy desktop to a finished, on-brand file ready for the place you post it.
- Make a vertical clip Make a vertical video from a screen recording for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. The tall frame follows your cursor, so there’s no cropping by hand.
- Captions that pop Animated captions for Shorts and Reels: big, bold styles, many of them following your voice word by word, placed where people can read them.
- Record yourself over a video Record a voiceover and webcam over a video after you’ve edited it, with a script, takes you can redo, or a video from your phone.
Recording
- Record your screen How to screen record on your Mac with audio: pick a display, a window or an area, add your mic, Mac sound and camera, and press Return.
- Screenshots & copy text A screenshot app for Mac built into ScreenCameo: capture an area, a window or the whole screen, and copy text from anything you can see.
- Annotate & beautify Annotate screenshots on your Mac with arrows, steps, text and blur, then give them a background and a frame worth sharing.
Editing
- The editor Edit screen recordings on your Mac: learn the editor’s parts, then cut, trim, speed up and move things on the timeline.
- Clips, takes & transitions Combine videos and add transitions in one project: other videos, new takes and recordings, in any order, joined with a cut, fade, crossfade or slide.
- Zoom, spotlight & loupe ScreenCameo zooms in where you click and type. Change those zooms, add your own with one key, or point at a detail without moving the view.
- Cursor & clicks Get a smooth cursor and click effects in every screen recording. Make the pointer bigger, change its style, and mark and sound each click.
- Text & title cards Add titles and text to a screen recording: a headline, a lower third with your name, a small callout or a full-screen title card.
- Captions & transcript Add captions and subtitles to a screen recording on your Mac: transcribed on-device, styled in one click, and saved as SRT or VTT files.
- Audio & music Improve voice audio and add music to a screen recording: clean up your mic, balance levels, add music that dips when you talk, and cut silences.
- Blur & privacy Blur sensitive information in a screen recording: draw a box over it, or let ScreenCameo find emails, keys and card numbers for you.
Style
- Looks, backgrounds & devices Screen recording backgrounds and device mockups in one tab. Pick a finished look, then change the background, the device and the frame around your video.
- Camera Record your screen and webcam at the same time, then style your face afterwards: a bubble, side by side or camera only, with your room blurred if you like.
- Your brand Add your logo and intro to screen recordings once, in Settings. Every new recording then starts with your logo, colors, font and title cards.

Common questions
How many Macs can I use ScreenCameo on?
Up to 3 of your own Macs with one license. The key is checked on your Mac, so there's no account to sign in to. Moving to a new Mac? Open Settings → License, choose Remove License from This Mac…, then activate the new Mac with the same key.
What happens after the 12 months of updates?
Every update released in the 12 months after you buy is included. After that, the version you have keeps working, with no time limit, on the macOS versions it supports. The app only offers updates your license includes. A version released after your updates end needs Renew updates before it records, edits or exports. Renewing is optional.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If ScreenCameo isn't right for you, email support@screencameo.com within 30 days of buying and you'll get a full refund. The refunded license key stops working. Read the refund policy.
Which version of macOS do I need?
ScreenCameo needs macOS 26 or later. To check yours, open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac.
Does ScreenCameo upload my recordings or need an account?
No. There's no account, no cloud and no analytics. Recording, editing, captions and redaction all happen on your Mac. The app contacts screencameo.com to check for updates and to download the list of refunded license IDs. Updates you install download from GitHub, and the first time you make captions in a language, macOS may download that language from Apple. Read the privacy policy.
