Your brand

Add your logo and intro to screen recordings once, in Settings. Every new recording then starts with your logo, colors, font and title cards.

Where in the app Settings → Brand CmdComma Editor → Style tab → Logo watermark Cmd1

Set up your brand once #

Add your logo and intro to screen recordings one time, and ScreenCameo puts them on every new recording. Your brand has four parts: a logo, colors, a font and title cards.

  1. Open Settings with CmdComma.
  2. Click Brand. It has four sections: Logo, Colours, Font and Title cards for new recordings.

Your logo sits in a corner of the video, in the preview and every export. A PNG with a transparent background works best.

  1. Under Logo, click Choose Logo… and pick the image. Change… swaps it later; Remove takes it away.
  2. Pick a Corner: Top left, Top right, Bottom left or Bottom right. Bottom right is the default.
  3. Drag Opacity, from 20% to 100%. The default is 85%.
  4. Drag Size, from 5% to 30% of the video’s shorter side. The default is 12%.
  5. Leave Add to new recordings on so every new recording shows the logo.

Add your brand colors #

Brand colors come first wherever the editor offers colors, so your text and backgrounds stay on brand.

  1. Under Colours, click + to add a color, then click the swatch to choose it. You can add up to six.
  2. Right-click a swatch and choose Remove to delete it.
WhereWhat your colors do
Text, click effects and captionsThey come first in the color swatches.
Background in the Style tabThey come first under Colors. With two or more, a gradient of the first two comes first under Gradients.
Looks → YoursThe Your brand look appears: a lit gradient in your colors.
Title cardsIntro and outro cards use your first color.

Pick your brand font #

  1. Under Font, pick any font installed on your Mac. System font is the default.
  2. Check the sample line under the menu to see how it reads.

Your font comes first in the font choices for text and captions, and new title cards use it.

Add an intro and outro to new recordings #

A title card is a full-screen card with a headline and an optional subtitle. ScreenCameo adds yours to the start and end of every new recording.

  1. Under Title cards for new recordings, turn on Intro card.
  2. Type the headline. Add a subtitle on a second line if you want one.
  3. Set how long it shows, from 1 to 6 seconds in half-second steps. The intro shows for 2.5 s by default.
  4. Turn on Outro card and do the same. The outro shows for 3 s by default.

Use the Your brand look #

Once you add a brand color, the Yours chip in Style → Looks has Your brand: a lit gradient in your colors with padding, rounded corners and a soft shadow.

  1. Press Esc, then press Cmd1 to open the Style tab.
  2. Click Yours above the gallery, then click Your brand.
  3. Want it on every new recording? Click Make Default.

The looks guide covers saving, sharing and the default look.

Change the logo for one video #

Each recording keeps its own copy of the logo settings. Change them in the editor without touching Settings.

  1. Press Esc, open the Style tab (Cmd1) and find Logo watermark.
  2. Turn Show logo on or off for this video.
  3. Pick another Corner, or drag Size (4% to 30%) and Opacity (20% to 100%).
  4. Changed your logo in Settings since you recorded? Click Use the New Brand Logo.

The logo sits over the screen and your camera, and under text and captions. It moves clear of the camera bubble when they share a corner. Full-screen title cards cover it.

If something’s off#

A new recording has no logo
Check that Add to new recordings is on in Settings → Brand. For this video, turn on Show logo in Style → Logo watermark.
My intro card didn’t appear
The card needs text. Type a headline under Intro card, then make a new recording. Recordings you already made don’t change.
I changed my logo, but an old video still shows the old one
Each video keeps the logo it was made with. Open its Style tab and click Use the New Brand Logo.
